Babrujsk: Election officials refer to loyal observers in rejecting complaints
Babrujsk observers of the campaign "Right of Choice" have received first answers from the territorial election commission. The replies that came from the Pieršamajski district election commission are exactly the same, they differ only in the names of the claimants.
The observers mostly complained about non-transparent counting of the ballots and improper storage of ballot boxes.
The responses say that “voting at all the polling stations was organized on the basis of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus”, which, according to the election officials, “does not provide for a visual count of the votes, which is inaccurate.” The response also argues that the number of issued ballots coincided with the number of ballots in the ballot boxes, and this can be confirmed by the statements of official observers.
Evidence was reportedly provided by pro-government observers: from the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Belaya Rus, a member of the City Council, the Trade Union of Education and Science and an unnamed ‘work collective’.
