Baranavičy: Observer files complaints about fraud by city election commission
Cheslau Huzouski, an observer from the Party of the Left "Fair World", has sent complaints to the Central Election Commission and the Brest Regional Election Commission, as well as to the Baranavičy Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office to report fraud and falsification of documents by the chair of the city territorial election commission Tamara Shukala.
The observer notes that both he and other observers working at polling stations Nos. 20 and 40 earlier wrote to the TEC to report inflated voter turnout during the early voting stage, but their complaints were not considered within the period provided by the law. The commission only read the complaints in the night of October 12. However, the officials refused to consider them and take any. Meanwhile, both Cheslau Huzouski and a member of the city election commission Viktar Syrytsa insisted that all complaints be considered before approving the election results.
The discrepancy in the number of people who voted early at the two polling stations was about 500 people.
However, on October 13 Cheslau Huzouski received a reply from the election commission, which said that the city election commission had considered his complaint and found no violations of the electoral legislation.
