Policeman governs electoral process at polling station in Rečyca

October 8, a policeman forbade Valery Putsitski, who observes the elections at polling station No. 20, located in secondary school No. 2 in Rečyca, to observe the process of sealing the ballot box.

“At about 6.55 p.m. I wanted to ensure that everything is alright with the ballot box, whether it has been sealed and is stored properly. However, the chairperson of the PEC, Larysa Andreyeva, grabbed the ballot box and carried it to the schoolmaster's office. I followed her, but a policeman blocked my way with the words “You are forbidden to go there” and closed the door in front of my face,” said Mr. Putsitski.

To his mind, it witnesses that the electoral process at the poling station is governed not by the chairperson, but by the policeman, and as a result it proves to be impossible to check whether the ballot box is sealed properly and stored in conformity with the legislation.
