Employees of enterprises and institutions of Salihorsk district come to vote early
Salihorsk observers point at the forced character of early voting and register the massive turnout of workers of the enterprises and institutions of Salihorsk.
“Compared to the first day of early voting, on Thursday our observers averaged an average increase of the turnout by four times. The voters who come to the polling stations are mainly workers of enterprises. They are coming in the groups of ten-twenty people,” says the representative of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee in Salihorsk Leanid Markhotka. “We have information not only from polling stations, but also from enterprises. There are many reports from workers of the trade industry, builders and employees of “Belaruśkali”. At the lattter one, the management event attempts to distribute voters to different days so as to hide the visibility of the organized character of this process.”
According to the human rights activist, there also happen some incidents. In particular, an employee of the building organization “BU-200” came up to the BHC observer in the corridor near polling station No. 19 and told that employees of their enterprise were forced to take part in the early voting. This conversation was heard by the head of the commission Valiantsina Kashtalyan, who immedately started threatening with drawing up a violation report against the observer. The observers of the pro-governmental organization “Bielaja Ruś” and the trade union of state workers immediately joined the conflict and proposed the commission chairperson their services during the compiling of the violation report, saying they were ready to sign it.
