Local authorities in Brest region advertise meetings with Lukashenka’s election activists only
The official websites of a number of district executive committees in Brest region have announced upcoming campaigning events by Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s election headquarters.
In particular, the website of the Kamianiec district executive committee advertised a meeting of voters with Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s trustee, head of the Bielaviežski JSC Yury Maroz. A number of other government pages write about meetings with the same official in Žabinka and Malaryta districts.
Information about the time and place of meetings with Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s trustee has been also posted on the websites of other executive committees, e.g. a meeting of Tatsiana Yakubovich with voters in Ivacevičy or an event to be attended by Aleh Vialichka in Brest district and in the regional center.
None of the local government websites writes about meetings with voters arranged by the trustees of other candidates for the presidency. Meanwhile, Lidziya Yarmoshyna, Chair of the Central Election Commission, earlier said that the largest number of bids for holding such meetings had been submitted by the electoral headquarters of Tatsiana Karatkevich.
