None of observer's appeals are considered collectively by Hlusk District Election Commission

The BHC observer at the Hluski District Election Commission Ihar Kiryn has filed with the commission six appeals regarding various violation of the electoral legislation. He received prompt responses to each of them, signed by the head of the commission A. Belski. However, none of the appeals were considered at the commission's sittings.

According to Mr. Kiryn, one of his appeals concerned violations during the collection of signatures in support of Aliaksandr Lukashenka (when electoral pickets in support of his nomination as a presidential candidate were held in prohibited places). He also appealed concerning the untimely elucidation of the activities of the district election commission and its decisions by the district state-run media and the untimely publication at the website of the Hlusk District Executive Committee of the information about the time of the sitting of the executive committee dedicated to the establishment of precinct election commissions, which violated para. 2.6 and 2.8 of the Ruling of the Central Election Commission “On informing the citizens about the work on preparation and holding of presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus in 2015", dated July 1, 2015.

“I received prompt replies, signed by the commission Chair, A. Belski, to all my appeals”, says Ihar Kiryn. “However, none of them were considered by the commission at its sittings. I have the impression that the chairman of the commission considers all appeals to the commissions individually, thereby replacing the whole commission and not bringing these appeals to the attention of the commission members.”

It's worth noting that the Chair of the Hlusk District Election Commission Aliaksandr Belski is the head of the department for education, sport and tourism of the Hlusk District Executive Committee.
