Central Election Commission posted information on valid signatures in support of nomination of potential candidates

Belarusian Central Election Commission has posted the preliminary data regarding the number of valid signatures, given in support of potential candidates for presidency, according to the information of the territorial commissions.

Thus, the number of valid signatures in support of
the incumbent president Aliaksandr Lukashenka is 1,753,380;
Siarhei Haidukevich – 139,877;

Viktar Tsiareshchanka – 6,699;
Mikalai Ulakhovich – 149,819;

Tatsiana Karatkevich – 105,278.

The next important stage of the election campaign will be the registration of candidates for the presidency, which the Central Election Commission plans to hold September 10, so that a full-fledged pre-election agitation and propaganda stage would start September 11.

Currently, from 22 August to 5 September, the potential candidates can submit to the Central Election Commission the documents that are necessary for the registration of their candidacies.
