Homieĺ region: 1 in 90 representatives of Fair World wins seat on precinct election commissions

The Left Party "Fair World" nominated 90 people to the precinct election commissions of the Homieĺ region: in Homieĺ, Zhlobin, Žlobin, Mazyr, Kalinkavičy, Rahačoŭ, Buda-Kašaliova and Svietlahorsk. However, only one nomination was approved: Halina Hutsko was included in the election commission in Mazyr.

At the same time, pro-government Communists and representatives of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice are extensively represented in local election commissions. The latter party’s loyalty to the current regime is obvious: according to the party’s official website, one of its main activities is support of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, the Common Economic Space and the Eurasian Union.

On June 2, the party’s political council considered the issue of participation in the presidential elections. Party leader Vasil Zadniaprany proposed to support the candidacy of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. “One of the reasons for this proposal was inadmissibility of recurrence of the Ukrainian scenario in Belarus,” says the website.
