Siarhei Kaliakin quits election
Presidential contender Siarhei Kaliakin will not submit the collected signatures to the election commissions, but will campaign to vote against all.
Fair World leader says he is confident that none of the contenders has actually managed to gather the required 100,000 signatures, except for Lukashenka, while many did not collect them at all. According to him, Mikalai Ulakhovich, Viktar Tsireshchanka and Siarhei Haidukevich, in his opinion, are all sparring partners, and the registration of Tatsiana Karatkevich would be regarded as a deal with the government and conscience.
“Our party has collected only 64,247 signatures, which, according to the Electoral Code, is not sufficient for the nomination of the Fair World leader to head of the country. Therefore, we decided not to apply at all, as people who have put their signatures may suffer for that,” said Valery Ukhnaliou, deputy chairman of the party and head of Kaliakin’s nomination group.
