Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections

The campaign of election observation during the 2015 presidential election is carried out by the Human Right Center "Viasna" and the RHRPA “Belarusian Helsinki Committee”. The campaign is aimed at evaluating the election from the viewpoint of the Belarusian eletoral legislation and international standards of free and democratic elections, as well as informing the Belarusian public and international community about the progress of the election and results of observation.

Luniniec: passport data for signature sheets are taken from personal files of employees at “Paliessieeliektramaš”

As reported to a civil society activist Vital Kalinouski by workers of Luniniec enterprise “Paliessieeliektramaš” (“Paliessie Electric Machinery”), their brass visited them at workplaces, proposing to sign in support of Lukashenka.

The workers weren't even required to bring their passports, as the passport data are in their personal files, stored by the enterprise management. According to V. Kalinouski, not all workers of “Paliessieeliektramaš” agreed to sign.
