Babrujsk: observers not informed about TEC sitting to establish electoral precincts
Members of the territorial election commission of the Pieršamajski district of Babrujsk didn't inform the observer of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee Viktar Kachan about the time of the sitting at which the electoral precincts were formed.
“When I was registered at the commission as an observer, its Chair Viktar Harbaniou promised to inform me on the phone. However, he didn't do it, and I learned about the sitting only after it had taken place, though during the previous elections I had been informed about the sittings by mail,” says Mr. Kachan.
There were no announcements about the sittings of the Pieršamajski TEC at the website of Babrujsk City Executive Committee, whereas the Pieršamajski District Executive Committee doesn't have its own website.
The situation was quite different in the Lieninski district of Babrujsk: there a BHC observer received a letter with information about the sitting. Members of the TEC also posted an advert about the sitting at the website of the Lieninski District Executive Committee of Babrujsk.
