Forced collection of signatures in support of Lukashenka registered at Mahilioŭ enterprises “Stužka” and “Mažatex”

Members of the electoral teams of alternative potential candidates told observers that while they were collecting signatures in support of their contenders the electors told them about the forced signing in support of Lukashenka at the enterprises “Stužka” and “Mažatex”.

At “Stužka” it was done by the personnel department, whereas at “Mažatex” - by the deputy head on ideology Svirepa.
In both cases, people who initially refused to sign for Lukashenka, were pressurized into signing in his support – the management hinted that their labor contracts might not be extended otherwise.

Meanwhile, the economic situation at the enterprises is quite hard. The wages at “Mažatex” barely exceed 2 mln rubles.

It should be noted that in addition to the mentioned enterprises Mahilioŭ human rights activists registered forced collecting signatures for Lukashenka at “Mahillioŭchimvalakno”, “Mahilioŭliftmaš”, “Zenith”, “Mahilioŭ Car Plant named after S. Kirov”, Mahilioŭ City Executive Committee, etc. Signatures were collected only during the working hours, often by non-members of Lukashenka's electoral team.
