In Brest, signatories for nomination of Aliaksandr Lukashenka are encouraged with invitations to concert
This was reported by some residents of Brest, working in organizations that are part of "Belnaftakhim" (“Belarusian Oil Chemistry”) concern. One could receive a ticket-invitation to the concert dated to the City Day in exchange for a signature in support for the nomination of the candidacy of the incumbent President for the presidnetial election.
Cases of involuntary signing for Lukashenka have been registered at various companies and institutions of Brest. As already reported by the civil society activist Aliaksei Koutun, workers are either summoned to a special room during their working hours or are required to visit an electoral picket, held by members of the electoral team of Mr. Lukashenka.
According to the activist, later it turns out that the personal data of the workers are already present in the signature sheets, except for the passport numbers and signatures. “Those workers who refuse to sign in support of the incumbent, are threatened with a “prophylactic talk” and the prospect of dismissal,” noted Mr. Koutun.
