Maladziečna executive committee violates CEC decision

On Friday, July 17, a representative of the BPF in Maladziečna, Volha Lahvinovich, brought the documents for nomination to the territorial election commission (TEC) of the party representatives and could not find anyone to whom they should be submitted.

The official website of the Maladziečna District Executive Committee had no information about the location and working hours for the submission of these documents.

Meanwhile, such information should be published in accordance with paragraph 2 of the CEC decision No. 22 of 1 July 2015 "On informing the citizens about the work on the preparation and holding of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus in 2015”.

This means that the information requested by Volha Lahvinovich should have appeared on the website on July 2. However, as of July 19 (deadline for submitting the documents) such information was not available.

Later on there appeared a message about an approved composition of the territorial election commission of 13 members.

"The commission is composed of representatives of national, municipal, and private forms of ownership, social services, public authorities. 46.2% of the commission members are representatives of public associations and political parties,” says the local government website.
