Presidential elections to be held on October 11
On Tuesday the House of Representatives appointed the date for the presidential elections - October 11, Interfax reports.
Earlier the Central Electoral Commission of Belarus proposed to hold elections on October 11 this year. "The Parliament, before its leave on holiday, can declare this election campaign", Lidziya Yermoshyna, Head of the CEC, stated.
It should be reminded that since 1996 no elections in Belarus have been recognized by the international community. For fraud results in 2004 she (after elections in 2010 with almost 200 of Belarusian officials) has been banned entry to the EU and the USA.
Earlier, November 15 was the most possible date for the elections.
